  • Sammie McCord Brooks. Born in Joplin, Missouri, Nov.10,1949
  • Early Childhood >MO, TN, NC, FL, WV, MD, Newfoundland,Canada; Kurdistan, Iraq
  • Middle School – Winter Park, FL
  • High School – Northeast in St. Petersburg, played football, played trumpet in band and orchestra
  • Met Jesus Christ at summer camp (Bible Town USA) in Boca Raton.
  • Married High School sweetheart in 1969
  • Wanted to fly in the Air Force (eyes not good enough)
  • Wanted to be a chaplain in the Air Force (long story – too much red tape)
  • Went to St. Pete Jr. College, Clearwater Christian College, University of South Florida and Dallas Theological Seminary
  • Taught at Lakeland Christian School (English, Spanish, Choir, Bible, coached football)
